Faith teaches you how to stand in a storm, not how to escape it.

Grace Through The Storms

by Michelle G. Sutherland

Grace Through the Storms tells a story of courage, hope, and
unwavering faith as a woman navigates immigration,
heartbreak, and motherhood to discover her true purpose in
helping others. She endures loss, but renewal follows, and through
it all, she comes to recognize God’s constant presence throughout
her life.
In 1993, Michelle left Jamaica for America, only to face unexpected
challenges such as cultural adjustment and adapting to a new
school system. In later years, she overcame a difficult marriage,
built a new identity, and raised a child with special needs, drawing
on hidden strength she carried within. During sleepless nights and
battles with fear, Michelle learned that faith does not erase storms
but gives the strength to endure them.
After the storm of her divorce, she did not expect to love again. But
God brought someone who offered a gentle, deep love—honoring
her story, embracing her children, and helping her rediscover her
worth. Two more storms also struck Michelle with the deaths of her
father in 2005 and her mother in 2020 (on Michelle’s birthday). Yet
even then, grace sustained her and reminded her that she was never
alone in overcoming these storms.
