√√ This volume illuminates the non-negotiable must haves, to eliminate outright blunders.

Set on 8.5" x 11.0" paper (larger print) and numbering 156 pages, this volume V is about sustaining the pace and protecting the gains to date. Finally, once you are sailing smoothly, you may be looking for that protective base carpet to underlay, and that protective insulating blanket to cover and protect, everything that you have built. Then, after a bit of a philosophical journey on the purposes of business in society and society in business, that is both retro and forward-looking, we introduce that blanket.

This Volume V (Sustaining) - 156 pages, is about sustaining the pace and protecting the gains to date. We have them! Introduced right away, the carpet is actually a type of food that spells its own acronym. The rest of this Volume includes preferred leadership qualities and behaviors, a bit of a philosophical journey on the purposes of business in society and society in business, and some different ways and means of work and organization in society. We do also introduce the protective insulating blanket, termed a system of “Business Ecosystem Surveillance for Thorough Entity Resilient Security against Threats” – the (BESTEREST) system. However, this Chapter 34 of 36 does go by another name that we cannot mention here due to the children, and for reasons that will become rather obvious, once you see the name in print, in the table of contents.

I'm a lawyer and businessman who also writes books.

Hello, Thank you for visiting. For over 40 years, I have lived, studied, run my own and family-businesses, and worked on 3 continents. With an Ivy-League legal education (William & Mary Law School), I have advised business owners at concept and startup, navigated other business leaders through growing pains and occasional strains, and counseled CFOs and other top executives in large, mature businesses and Non-Profits. During this same period, I have also had the privilege of working in or with governments in the United States of America and Canada at the municipal, state and territorial, and federal levels - including on legislation and policy-making, regulatory compliance, and contracts, litigation, and alternate dispute resolution, amongst others. Looking back, I have been able to distill and assemble some gems of advice and analysis from this broad and deep experience. The result is a 5-part business book series, entitled "Success in Business: (Starting, Scaling, Situations, Sailing, and Sustaining)". I therefore invite you to pick one up, and if you like and find it helpful, do come back for more. For ease of reference and navigation, each volume contains the title and contents of every chapter in the series. So, you can easily hone-in on your preferred business stage or areas of interest, or just start at Volume I and go methodically. Thank you, again, and happy Reading!
